@Robindidit, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Interrupting a BIOS update can lead to several issues, including the system failing to boot properly. Here's what you can do to try and resolve the situation:

Troubleshooting Steps

Remove External Devices: Disconnect any external devices connected to your laptop (external hard drives, printers, etc.) to eliminate any potential conflicts.

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • Turn off the laptop.
  • Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery if it is removable.
  • Press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds to discharge any remaining power.
  • Reconnect the battery and power adapter.

Attempt to Power On: Try turning on your laptop to see if it will start normally.

BIOS Recovery Mode: Some HP laptops come with a BIOS recovery feature:

  • Turn off the laptop.
  • Press and hold the Windows key and the "B" key together and then press the power button for three seconds.
  • Release the Power button, and continue holding the Windows and B keys until you hear a beep sound or see the BIOS update screen.
  • Follow the prompts to attempt to recover the BIOS.
