Hello, I was playing a game and suddenly my laptop's backlit lights blinked 2 3 times and light's intensity decreased to lower level. I tried to press F5 but it didn't change to its maximum brightness. After 1 hour,  all I see is a very very very dim light under the keys and if I press F5 either it completely turns off or brightness level doesn't change depending on the order. I am really worried about this problem as I bought this laptop 4 months ago in NOV 2020. One more thing is that I can see the usual bright light on laptop's power button but on the rest of keyboard it is very dim.  Furthermore, I undervolted this laptop like 4 days ago but this shouldn't really matter. right ? Another thing that I noticed is that lights are working but have very low intensity so any chance that they are not being powered up properly to get to full brightness ? Also,  had it been a driver issue, I shouldn't see any light at all but here the case isn't this. So please kindly help as this laptop was expensive for me and I really want this issue to get fixed.

Welcome to HP Community

I have gone through your Post and would like to help

I suggest you download and run the HP Support Assistant from this Link: https://www8.hp.com/us/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/hpsupport.html?jumpid=va_r602_us/en/any/psg/p...

HPSA will automatically search for all the latest drivers for your Notebook

  1. Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.

Click Updates in the My notebook pane

  2. Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.

Updates list in HP Support Center

  3. Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.

  4. Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.

  5. Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.

Also ensure Windows is up to date.

Select the Start  button, and then go to Settings  > Update & security  > Windows Update , and select Check for updates. If Windows Update says your device is up to date, you have all the updates that are currently available

Keep me posted how it goes

Thank you and have a wonderful day 😊

Ok, so HP assistant manager was already installed on my laptop and I could only find one optional update (about LAN WIRLESS DRIVER SOMETHING) and I did it and even restarted my Laptop. Nothing happened and I even check for windows update but it was showing no new updates for me. BTW now I cannot even see those dim lights and the keyboard is completely without backlight. So nothing happens when I press F5. Anyways, thanks for the reply but no matter what I do, those lights are not glowing up.

😞

Lemme know if you have any other solutions.
