Get the dust bunnies out of the laptop.
Charge the battery fully before running any intensive applications. Your laptop will overheat if it has to both charge and run at turbo speed.

To mitigate the heat problem you should use a laptop cooler. It is my personal opinion that any gaming laptop, made by any OEM, should come with a warning that a laptop cooler should be used while gaming.

If not using the Omen game hub, in the Advanced Power Plan, set the percent processor utilization to %99 instead of %100 to prevent going into turbo. This can make a huge difference in temperature. Note that the OGM overrides the power plan settings.

Please run the battery report and post the summery if you want.

You run the battery report by bringing up the administrator command window and running

powercfg/batteryreport

as shown below

After entering that explorer line you should see something like the following. You will have to click on it as it is long

Battery should last about 5 years but less for gaming systems.

You mentioned that the laptop suddenly turned off.   if the battery is running low, windows should popup a notification of some type.  On my andoid tablet it dims the display at the same time as the warning. On my Surface Pro 6 it just pops up a notice for a few seconds and if I miss it the laptop will eventually shut off with no other warning.  Is this the problem?

If the laptop shuts down in the middle of a game and a good battery either it is overheating or some bug in the display or game driver.

Yes, sometimes it heat up and sometimes it turns off during mid task. (Not heavy tasks or game). Is there any solution you know? Or, is it HP laptop's feature to prevent the overheating so cause turn off the laptop automatically?
