Pavilion Gaming cx0xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

So I have a HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop cx0xxx which has 11.55V 52.5Wh(Nom:4550mAh) Battery which was swollen, so I called the customer care and they asked me to go to service center to replace the battery. I knew how to change a battery by following user manual. Main issue is the battery came in today and it is 15.4V 70.07Wh (Nom:4550mAh) battery. I am yet to hear from the service center, This battery that they gave have serial number SR04XL and part number:917678-171

and my battery which I originally had is SR03XL and part number:L08934-2B1. Would the 15.4V battery work? Should I risk it?

An AC adapter converts the higher voltage received from an outlet to the proper amount the laptop needs. Laptops can share power cords so long as the adapter's wattage and connector tip is correct and compatible for each laptop you wish to use it with krogerfeed

@imNachi

Welcome to HP Community

I have gone through your Post and would like to help

If the Battery fits in then it shouldn't be an issue even if the Voltage is slightly different

But if the Battery doesn't work or fits in please contact HP Support in your region once again

Thank you

So it does actually fits properly. But now when I boot up it shows that..

Non-HP battery detected. This may pose health and safety risks.

Battery Counterfeit Check Error.

Does that means this is a Counterfeit battery? Cause I bought this from a HP Service Center.
