Hi, so my laptop battery kept discharging even when plugged in and I can't figure out why. I tried contacting the local hp support but they are very very very unco-operative and I got no solution.

I sourced a new battery for my laptop and replaced that but the issue is still there. Meaning the issue may not be in the battery. After this I returned the new battery and kept the old one. I haven't been able to source a 200W charger for my laptop at all to continue testing to see if the issue is with my charger.

Sometimes the laptop battery charges sometimes it doesn't. I've ran the hardware tests and sometimes it shows the battery passed and other time it shows this failure code.

Please help. My laptop is out of warranty currently, and maybe its because of that I have been receiving absolutely no service from HP.

I've requested callbacks as well and I got none.

@Flaming_burrito

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

That must be hard. Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,
I did go through the failure ID:622, and it refers to Battery 1 Weak failure. In order to fix this issue battery needs to be replaced. As we have limited support boundaries in the support community as of now.

I would request you to reach out to our Support and our Support Engineers should be able to check the available out of warranty service options in order to replace the battery. HP Support can be reached by clicking on the following link:  www.hp.com/contacthp/

Please feel free to contact us here anytime you need any further assistance. Please click “Accept as Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.
