I have a new Victus and battery drains fast when in shutdown. Having a full battery and not using the laptop for a week, the battery is empty. Power cable is needed to be able to startup the PC.
In the power settings "Fast start-up" is disabled, so when doing shutdown a full shutdown is done and not a sleep or hibernate.
When I look to the 7-day battery level in windows 11, even on a day the laptop is not used for 1 minute, the screen seems to be on for 24 hours (even when it is black and look off.
In the BIOS I disabled USB charging at sleep mode but this makes only a very small difference.
Any idea how to fis? With the battery the laptop should at least keep power for a month when not used comparing with other laptops.

First of all, I do not understand I have to make a "Windows system restore point". I don't think when going back to a restore point, this will undo a BIOS update. BIOS seems rather hardware related accroding to me.
Before starting my question here, I had done a check using "HP Support Assistant" knowing that it would be the first check, is the computer up to date. There where none.
Before doing your update request now, I ran again "HP Support Assistant" and got below screen. Except a bluetooth driver update, no other updates available. But the update you mention to install is not applicable for my system.
To be sure I did a check online. Result is "no new drivers needed". Looking to "BIOS system firmware" the version is there which you mention. Which according to "HP support assistant" is not applicable for my system. Would be nice for a customer if HP knew what they want.
As you asked, still installed the update to avoid getting stuck in the support.
After installing and rebooting msinfo32 tells me ... nothing changed
Also when looking in the bios itself version is still F11.
Summary, the BIOS update you ask me to install seems no to be for my system as it refuses to install ...

Hello @DC_BE
(1) Windows <Restore> cannot undo a Bios update ! It only serves to keep the current state (snapshot) of the operating system / settings / registry and software in case of unexpected changes / errors.
(2) Obviously the BIOS update provided by HP is not correct ! The software repository is not properly maintained !
(3) Do you have valid HP warranty ?
