Hi!

Last night I was gaming on my HP Omen Laptop when my computer froze. I restarted the computer but when I got back on the D drive was missing, and I couldn't access any files from my D drive. I restarted the computer once again but not have received a black screen telling me "Boot device not found. Please install an operating system on your hard disk. Hard Disk (3F0)"

I have tried running a hard drive test in the F2 Hardware Diagnostics but it tells me SMART check: Not available Short DST: Not Available.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Welcome to the HP Support Community.  

 

As this is a hardware issue, I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your computer. 

 

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.
