I am facing a persistent Bluetooth audio chopping/stuttering issue on my HP laptop. The sound keeps cutting out intermittently when using my Bluetooth headphones.
I have already tried all the standard troubleshooting methods, including:
Updating/reinstalling the Bluetooth drivers
Updating Windows
Removing and reconnecting the Bluetooth device
Troubleshooting Bluetooth and audio settings
Restarting/resetting the Bluetooth connection
All my drivers are currently up to date, but the issue still persists.
I have found that some users have resolved similar issues by using an alternative A2DP Bluetooth audio driver, especially when the standard Windows A2DP driver causes compatibility or codec-related problems.
Could HP Support please provide an official/compatible alternative A2DP driver or another recommended driver solution for my HP laptop?
I would prefer an official HP-supported solution rather than downloading an unofficial third-party A2DP driver from the internet.
provide me this driver and thank you

Hi @rann445
Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.
Thank you for providing the details. We understand that your HP Victus 15-fa1000 is experiencing Bluetooth audio stuttering and cutting out even after updating drivers, Windows, and reconnecting the headset.
Regarding your request for an alternative A2DP driver, HP does not provide a separate or alternate A2DP Bluetooth audio driver for this model. The supported configuration is to use the Bluetooth driver package validated for the notebook along with the Windows Bluetooth audio components.
For this HP Victus model, please try the following approach:
- Download and install the latest Bluetooth driver specifically for your HP Victus 15-fa1000 from the HP support page for your device.
- After installation, perform a complete shut down of the notebook, wait about 30 seconds, and restart.
- Remove the Bluetooth headset from Windows, pair it again, and test audio playback.
- In Device Manager, expand Bluetooth and Sound, Video and Game Controllers, then ensure no devices show warning symbols.
- If your headset supports both Hands-Free (HFP) and Stereo (A2DP) profiles, select the Stereo output device in Windows Sound settings, as the Hands-Free profile can affect audio quality.
- Update the BIOS and chipset drivers from HP Support if they are not already at the latest version, as Bluetooth stability is closely tied to system firmware and platform drivers.
At this time, we not not recommend installing unofficial third-party A2DP drivers, as they are not validated for the HP Victus platform and may affect system stability or Bluetooth functionality.
Please install the latest HP Bluetooth driver and BIOS available for your exact Victus 15-fa1000 configuration and let us know whether the audio interruptions occur with all Bluetooth headsets or only a specific device. This will help us better understand the behavior.
Take care, and have an amazing day!

Hi
Thank you for the detailed response.
Unfortunately, I have already tried all of the suggested steps, but the issue is still not resolved. I have updated the latest Bluetooth driver, BIOS, and chipset drivers, performed a complete shutdown, removed and re-paired the headset, and checked Device Manager for any warning symbols. I have also made sure that the Stereo (A2DP) profile is selected instead of Hands-Free.
Despite doing all of this, the Bluetooth audio continues to stutter, cut out, and intermittently disconnect during playback.
The issue is not resolved by the standard HP drivers or troubleshooting steps. Could you please provide some additional troubleshooting steps or investigate whether this could be a hardware, Bluetooth adapter, or driver compatibility issue with the Victus 15-fa1000?
I would appreciate a more advanced solution, as the issue is still occurring after following all the recommended steps.
Regards,
Ranjit
