HP Recommended
OMEN 15
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

When running a game, my CPU utilization is around 20-30%, yet the temperature is 98-100 C.

I use the HP recommended power plan. I can both hear the fans and feel the hot air going out of both vents.

I just got Intel XTU from reading this post https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Gaming-Notebooks/HP-Omen-Overheating/td-p/6919741

The solution of undervolting has been disabled.

I did test some of the metrics. While testing with CPU util around 20-30%, CPU Pkg temp was 98 C, and the PKG TDP was 23W. Utilization per core fluctuated around a lot, but I didn't notice any core go above 50%.

Thermal throttling was on for the entire test, but none of the other throttling indicators were on.
