Hi @Kush_mevada,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your laptop!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Check Power Settings:
- Go to Control Panel > Power Options.
- Check if your power plan settings are set to optimize performance on battery. Sometimes, certain plans throttle CPU performance to save battery.
- Ensure that the settings for "Battery" mode allow the CPU to perform at its full capability.
Update BIOS and Drivers:
- Since you recently performed a BIOS update, make sure that it was successfully completed. Sometimes, incorrect BIOS settings can affect performance.
- Verify that your BIOS is set to default settings or optimized settings as recommended by HP for your model.
- Update your chipset drivers and any power management drivers. You can do this via HP Support Assistant or manually download from the HP website.
Check CPU Performance Settings in BIOS:
- Restart your laptop and enter the BIOS setup (usually by pressing F10 as the laptop boots).
- Look for any CPU power management settings and ensure they are set to performance rather than power-saving modes.
Battery Health Check:
- Verify your new battery is working correctly. You can perform a battery health test using the HP Support Assistant.
- Make sure the battery is properly seated and connected.
HP Support Assistant:
- Use HP Support Assistant for a diagnostic check to ensure all components are functioning correctly.
Restore System:
- As a last resort, consider performing a system restore to a previous point before these issues started occurring, just in case the issue is software-related.
I hope this helps.
