I understand your OMEN by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC's camera isn’t working, try these troubleshooting steps:
Check Privacy Settings:
- Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Camera.
- Make sure camera access is turned on for apps you want to use.
Update Camera Drivers:
- Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager.
- Expand the Imaging Devices section, right-click your camera, and select Update driver.
- Choose Search automatically for drivers.
Restart the Camera App:
- Close and reopen the camera app you’re using.
- Try a different camera app to see if the issue persists.
Check for Windows Updates:
- Go to Settings > Windows Update.
- Check for updates and install any available updates.
Run the Troubleshooter:
- Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
- Run the Camera troubleshooter.
Reinstall Camera Drivers:
- Go to Device Manager, right-click your camera, and select Uninstall device.
- Restart your laptop, and Windows should reinstall the camera drivers automatically.
Check for Software Conflicts:
- Ensure no other apps are using the camera at the same time.
- Check your antivirus or firewall settings to ensure they’re not blocking the camera.
Check Physical Connections (if applicable):
- If your laptop has a detachable camera, make sure it's securely connected.
