I wanted to change my 128 GB SSD to 1 TB. The Crucial scan reveals that I can move to the 500 GB Crucial P5 plus. Is the 1 TB a possibility for the laptop or not?
Laptop details
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-8300H CPU @ 2.30GHz
HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-cx0xxx

Hi:
The crucial memory report for the model series indicates you can go as high as 2 TB.
I would not buy the P5 Plus because your notebook's NVMe slot is only Gen 3, so the P5 plus, which is Gen 4, will not run at its highest rated speed. That is unless you plan on transferring the P5 Plus SSD to a newer PC a few years in the future.
Either go with the P5 or perhaps the Samsung 980 (not Pro).
