I have recently purchased HP Pavilion Laptop and want to install 2 TB HDD to additional slot.
Please suggest if i can perform this task myself without voiding the warranty and is there any HDD space limitation which can be installed.

Hi:
HP only has the service manual for the older 15-ec0xxx model series on your notebook's support page.
If your notebook came with a 2.5" mechanical hard drive, it has a M.2 slot that supports NVMe SSD's.
See chapter 1.
Maintenance and Service Guide HP Pavilion Gaming 15 Laptop PC
HP offered M.2 SSD's up to 1 TB in the model series, but if you want to install a 2 TB M.2 SSD, that should be fine.
If your notebook came with a M.2 SSD and you want to install a 2 TB hard drive, then you will probably need to order the additional parts listed in chapter 3 of the service manual to add a drive as the parts are usually not there when the notebook only came with a M.2 SSD.
According to chapter 5 of the service manual, replacing/upgrading the drives and memory is a customer-authorized procedure and should not void the warranty unless you break something in the process of performing the upgrades.
One thing to note...if you need to take the notebook in for warranty service, you will have to return it to its original hardware configuration.
