I frequently use my laptop on planes and trains where the 200w charger trips the power and i can't charge my laptop.

Is it at all possible to use a lower watt charger to charge? Obviously i realise it might charge it more slowly but i just need some sort of power. So far, no power packs have worked, and all lower (W) chargers i've used force an "incompatible power source" message on the laptop!

@Westley08,

Welcome to our HP User Forum!

Perchance you may be more successful with a 150w charger for your HP Victus 16: HP 150W Laptop Charger, aifulo 19.5V 7.7A AC Power Adapter Charger Compatible with HP OMEN 15 17, HP....

Hope this was helpful.

Thanks for your response.

Unfortunately  i think even 150W would be too high, and would still trip the socket.

@Westley08,

Remind me: can your HP Victus 16 be charged through a USB-C port?

No unfortunately not. So that isnt an option

@Westley08,

All right, you may want to try this blue-tip 90w charger: 90W Blue Tip Laptop Charger Adapter for HP ProBook G3 G4 G5 G6 G7 Series 430 440 450 455 470 640 645....

If it doesn't work, return to get your money back.

I definitely wouldn't recommend going any lower than 90w.

i don't suppose there is any difference to the one you shared?

I'm out of ideas...

@Westley08,

Perhaps a portable power bank would be an option, such as something like this: Krisdonia AC Power Bank 27000mAh 130W Laptop Portable Charger & External Battery Pack for MacBook, L....

Another option that comes to mind would be to purchase an additional HP Victus 16 laptop battery, charge it, and leave in your case, and swap when necessary. This assumes, of course, that swapping out an HP Victus 16 battery is easy, and doesn't require much effort.

Kind Regards,
