Omen
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an HP Omen gaming laptop product number Z9E06EA#ABU.  I want to access the BIOS to change the boot order to ensure that I can use a recovery USB if needed.  The HP manual says that I should hit esc key followed by F10 after pressing the power on button but despite trying this several times it has not worked; the laptop goes straight to Windows.    I tried the reset procedure listed here HP Notebook PCs - How to Power Reset your Laptop | HP® Customer Support (as suggested in another similar question on this site) but this did not help.  I have tried other keys but this did not seem to help either.  Note that I cannot remove the battery on my laptop and I followed the procure for laptops of this type

Any suggestions please?

Thanks for your suggestion.  It although it didn’t actually work it prompted me to try pressing esc frequently and hard immediately after pressing the power key.  I got into the BIOS and was able to change the boot order so that I could use a recovery USB.

Hi.
Try, after pressing the power button, from the disabled status of the laptop, constantly press the F9 button.
F9 - Boot menu.
