OK, since you have the Nvidia/Intel switchable graphics, you can't use my method of updating the driver and that is why you are getting the error when you try to install it from the Intel driver update assistant.
The switchable graphics adapters use custom drivers from Intel and Nvidia and you should only use the ones listed on your notebook's support page.
If you were to try to use my method of updating the Intel graphics, it would work but it messes up how the Nvidia graphics works.

Ok, here is the problem with this work around. Now the secondary video card is not addressed.
I got a message when starting Adobe programs, You are using an older driver and may have performance issues.
Yep, I did the direct install, no message from the Adobe program but now the Nvidia card does not switch over and my game performance suffers.

See my knowledgebase article at the link below for how to manually update the Intel graphics driver to the latest version.
Only do this if your notebook has the onboard Intel graphics, not a model with the switchable Nvidia/Intel or AMD/Intel graphics.
