OMEN by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop 16-n0000 (63B17AV)

I'm using an HP Omen 16, AMD Ryzen 7 6800H, Nvidia RTX 3070ti, and I bought it 3 days ago. Certain games are minimizing themselves on startup, they're running in the background, I can see their icon on my taskbar, I can hear their audio too, but as soon as I try to open them or switch to their tab, they minimize themselves again and only my desktop is visible, this keeps repeating, rendering me completely unable to do anything. Have made sure to take all windows updates, update my nvidia drivers, and update my BIOS. So far, this issue has happened with me trying to run Payday 2 from the epic games launcher and CODBO2 with the Plutonium launcher. Have already talked to hp support twice and unfortunately no resolution took place, the issue still persists. Any idea what to do ?

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that games are minimizing by themselves, I am glad to assist you.

Update the Bios, chipset, and drivers using HP Support Assistant.

Download and run the HP Support Assistant from this Link: Click here

  • HPSA will automatically search for all the latest drivers for your Notebook
  • Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.
  • Click Updates in the My notebook pane
  • Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.
  • Updates list in HP Support Center
  • Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.
  • Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.
  • Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.

Also, ensure Windows is up to date.

  • Select the Start  button, and then go to Settings  > Update & security  > Windows Update , and select Check for updates. If Windows Update says your device is up to date, you have all the updates that are currently available

Let me know how it goes.

To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

Cheers.
