OMEN by HP 15-dc1054nr
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My Omen 15-DC1XXX gaming laptop (This is what the PC identifies itself as, though the product name this site gave it is a dc1054nr) is one year old and works excellently, aside from a strange quirk, the great feature of the lighted keyboard is acting funnily, in a certain sector.  In the Omen Gaming HUB I control the lighting, the WASD sector I have set to orange, while the surrounding sector being the far left of the keyboard all red.  When the A key is pressed the whole sector (only WASD not all far left keys) change to be red, I at first thought it was a feature for when your gaming to tell you that when your holding a strafe button, you cannot strafe the other way, but it is only for A, not D.  Another interesting thing, it seems to do it very intermittently, similarly to the light on the side that turns on when the hard drive is writing/reading data (blinking, basically) but randomly and suddenly, it will go a long time without doing it, but burst into a few randomly while idling or in use.  This is not an urgent problem, just an idiosyncrasy about my Omen, I was wondering if there is a simple fix in the software (Like in Omen Gaming Hub), testing it just now, when I change the surrounding sectors color (the one it matches when it blinks) it does not match the color, it only does red, which is fine, as I have the keyboard representing RGB across it, it is just strange.  If the only fix is hardware I will not care about this problem anymore, as it has no effect on how the laptop works, but maybe there's just a small setting in Omen Gaming Hub I can change.  A fact I do not think is related but somewhat relevant is that I have replaced the D key entirely, as its keycap hinges had broke.  I do blow out the keys regularly with compressed air and try to keep the keys clean.  Any suggestions as to what could be causing this would be great even if to just lead me in a direction where I might find something causing it.  Thanks!

Future edit:It also sometimes gets stuck in red, and flickers instead in the color its supposed to be (by flicker I mean a few hundred milliseconds) and when it does this it does not change color when I press A, and sometimes it will revert back to its original color and start flickering red again.
