HP OMEN 15 en0005
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, I have recently bought a hp Omen 15,  with a 60 Hz display panel, it is possible to upgrade the display with a 144 Hz panel? It is compatible? It is complicated?  Oterwise, if I connect a 144 Hz external screen, it would run properly?

@andre_8   You did not give a complete model number, you left the 2 letters off the end of the numbers.

15-en0005nl I assume.

Either way, if you have the 60Hz panel, you cannot change over to the 144Hz panel. The pinouts are different (30pin vs 40pin).

Would require a different motherboard. No its not worth trying to change motherboards either, just in case you were wondering.

Sorry.

Thanks! Anyway, if i connect a 144 Hz external monitor trought the HDMI port, it would run properly at 144 Hz or my refresh rate is capped at 60 Hz? However my complete model number is en0005nl, as you suggested. By the way sorry for my english and thanks a lot for your answer.

Sorry I glossed over the last part of your original question.

If you connect a 144Hz external monitor, It will run at what ever the monitor is capable of.

So yes, it will work.

PS: You will want to use the Display Port connection to ensure it works correctly.
