I just wonder if (Samsung SSD 970 EVO NVMe M.2) compatible with my HP ZBOOK 15 G2, or i should use the SATA version such as (SAMSUNG 860 EVO 1TB M.2 SATA) ?

From the following link
https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c04488080
which says it uses 256 GB Z Turbo Drive (PCIe Solid State Drive), that means NVMe.
Regards.

You mean i can use Samsung 970 EVO 500GB - NVMe PCIe M.2 2280 SSD (MZ-V7E500BW) and i can get upto 3500 MB/s read and 2500 MB/s write on HP ZBOOK 15 G2.
even so it mensioned Z turbo Drive 256GB solid state drive as an option, but i think the slot is PCIe 2.0 !
doesn't this mean it support 4xPCI and support NVME M.2 ? could you please explain this, or does the Z turbo from the HP use the same slot type as Samsung NVME PCI? thanks
