This laptop was bought new in 2017, i have not taken care of it however i desperately need to get a new battery, ram and SSD drive. i am a complete novice, do i need special tools to do this job? 

 

can someone be honest with me, is it just worth me buying a new laptop all together?? i like the 17 inch screen so if its cheaper to change the parts ill just do it myself.

 

will i need to copy everything and wipe the current hard drive to install the new one??

 

it currently only has 8gb of ram. the battery life is terrible and its incredibly slow

The above list does not say information we need to know. What is your OMEN by HP 17-an0xx ?  For example

Your machine should be very close to the above machine
