@478Ali, Welcome to the HP Support Community – it’s great to have you here!

I appreciate you taking the time to share your question. I'm more than happy to assist with this and provide a solution that works for you.

I understand your Victus OMEN 15 laptop is powering on with lights and fan noise, but you're stuck on a black screen after a game crash and restart. You've already tried a hard reset, which is a great first step. Let's go through a few more troubleshooting steps to help resolve this:

Perform a Hard Reset (again, just to confirm)

  • Power off the laptop completely.
  • Disconnect all external devices (USB drives, printers, etc.).
  • Unplug the AC adapter.
  • Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
  • Reconnect only the power adapter and try powering on.

Try BIOS Recovery

If the screen is black but the keyboard lights and fans are on, the BIOS may be corrupted.

  • Turn off the laptop.
  • Press and hold Windows + B keys, then press and hold the power button for 2-3 seconds.
  • Release the power button but continue holding Windows + B for another 10 seconds.
  • If successful, the BIOS recovery screen should appear.

External Display Test

To rule out a display issue:

  • Connect your laptop to an external monitor or TV via HDMI.
  • Power on the laptop and check if the external display shows anything.
  • If it does, your internal display may be faulty or the graphics driver may have crashed.

Reset CMOS (if accessible)

Some OMEN/Victus models allow CMOS reset via a pinhole or by removing the battery (if user-accessible). This can help reset hardware-level settings.

System Recovery or OS Repair

If BIOS and display are working but Windows won’t boot:

  • Power on and immediately press Esc repeatedly to access the Startup Menu.
  • Choose F11 for System Recovery.
  • If recovery options load, you can try Startup Repair or System Restore.

Additional Notes

  • If none of the above steps work, the issue could be hardware-related, in that case, please visit the nearest HP authorized service center, the service team will check and assist you.
