I have an OMEN 16-wf0007nl Notebook, equipped with its 280W power supply. I intend to purchase a monitor like the HP U32 4K HDR, equipped with USB C with power delivery up to 65W
and an additional 3 USB type A.
What happens if I connect the keyboard/mouse/webcam to the monitor and then the laptop to the monitor
via USB C cable?
Obviously the monitor will not be able to charge the notebook and therefore I will connect
the notebook simultaneously to its power supply but also to the monitor's USB C cable.
In this situation I ask if the connection via USB C with the monitor will work and therefore will
the peripherals connected to the monitor (USB sticks/webcam/etc) also be usable from the laptop?
Or do you risk ruining your laptop or monitor given the double connection to the electrical
current both coming from the monitor and from the laptop's power supply?
Thanks for your answers!

The simplest math is you need a dock with 280W + wattage required for the monitor and may be 10% more.
Regards.
