HP Omen 15

I'm sorry if this question has been asked before, but I browsed the forum and couldn't find much relevance.

I found a small hole and crack on the side of my laptop. While I don't remember dropping or bumping my laptop on anything, it might have been due to mishandling. I can't really get any support right now, and don't know much about laptops in general, so I wonder if I should do anything to remedy / mitigate the damage (e.g. I feel a bit concerned about moisture and dust being able to get in, so I wonder if I would have to seal it with tape, or get it sealed with epoxy etc...). The damage doesn't look to be near a joint or anything critical as far as I know, but it would still be nice to be able to address this and prevent future damage. Thank you.

Edit: Pictures for the crack because the upload picture feature seems to not be working.
