Hey HP community,

I have laptop Gaming Pavilion 17-cd1007nw (24C82EA) with docking station USB-c dock G5 and unfortunately laptop is not charging.

I checked and laptop USB-C port supports power delivery and display port. https://support.hp.com/rs-en/document/c06859316

What can I do to make it work?

Thanks in advance.

The specs of your machine is

Yes it has USB-C port which is SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 10Gbps signaling rate (USB Power Delivery, DisplayPort™ 1.4, HP Sleep and Charge).

Your machine requires  150 W Smart AC power adapter and HP USB-C G5 dock has only supports Power to the Host: Up to 100W via USB-CTM (up to 75W on non HP machines) therefore not enough. It can charge your machine when off, idle or sleep.

Hope this makes sense.

Regards.
