Hello!
I am about to buy a new laptop, so far I am opting for the Omen 15.
However, it comes with Win10 pre-installed.
The first thing I'm about to do is to erase the disk and install Ubuntu or Fedora. However, I read somewhere that Omen has problems with Linux systems, like video drivers incompatibilities or network issues.
Also, can the official Omen software (that allowing one to do cool things with the keyboard lightning) be run under Linux?
Cheers,
sudo_shutdown

You are welcome, @sudo_shutdown! Thank you for the additional information.
Here is the Software and Drivers Download page for the laptop. If you change the OS, you will see that only Windows is listed for the OS.
I have used Ubuntu for years. Personally, I am skeptical that there will be appropriate drivers for all of the components. The ones that are available may be limited. @sudo_shutdown , welcome to the forum.
What is the full model of the computer? I need this information to review the specifications of it. Please don't furnish the Serial # or other personal information.
