By default my windows key is disabled in every boot,  I have to enable it through function key Fn+F12 every time.

I want to change windows key to enable mode by default. Please guide me  to do that.

Hey-ho sir,

It could be an hardware issue. Before editing Registry, you should try to plug another keyboard on your laptop and after booting, check if it is having the same WinKey issue.

You can also try to edit Registry.

  1. Right-click on your Start menu icon and choose Run.
  2. Type ‘regedit’ without quotes to launch Registry Editor.
  3. Then navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Keyboard Layout (you can copy/paste this path directly in Search).
  4. In the right pane, locate Scancode Map.
  5. Right-click on it and select Delete.

Then, close the Registry editor and restart your unit.

Lemme know.

Regards
