Hi, I bought a HP Pavilion 15.6 inch Gaming Laptop PC 15-ec2000 (2P6B3AV) on June 2022. In the start of the year I had buzzing fan problem, I got it replaced by the store from which I purchased the laptop in the first place, But after the replacement also after few months the replaced fan starts buzzing(This time right after booting the laptop, within 10 mins buzzing sound comes). I opened the laptop yesterday and I found out that the fan which was replaced is not working when the other fan works, when it does it starts the buzz sound. I need to stop this fan buzzing sound. Anyone with official HP please help regarding this.

Hi @AdityaKumar1626,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear about the issues with your HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop's fan. Here are some steps and considerations for troubleshooting and potentially resolving the buzzing fan problem:

Troubleshooting Steps

Cleaning the Fan and Vents

  • Dust and debris can accumulate inside the laptop, causing the fan to struggle and make noise. Use compressed air to carefully blow out any dust from the fan and vents. Make sure to turn off the laptop and disconnect from power before cleaning.

Check Fan Alignment and Installation

  • After replacing the fan, ensure that it is properly aligned and securely attached. A poorly installed fan can vibrate and cause buzzing sounds.

Look for Loose Components

  • Other loose components inside the laptop might be vibrating along with the fan. Make sure all screws and components are properly secured.

Update Drivers and BIOS

  • Check for any available updates for your system drivers and BIOS on HP's Official HP® Support. Outdated software might affect how the fan functions.

Heat Management

  • Use the laptop on a hard, flat surface to optimize airflow. Avoid using it on surfaces like beds or sofas that can block vents.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
