Hello! Last year I bought an HP omen 16. So far, I love it but recently I have been having some issues. Sometimes when booting games, or booting the pc. The fans start making a very loud noise, as if it’s gonna break. When I try to check the speed or temperature through the shortcut, it doesn’t register but I can see it through the open gaming hub. Could someone tell me what’s happening?

Hi! It sounds like your HP Omen 16 might be experiencing an issue with its cooling system, possibly due to dust buildup, a software glitch, or a hardware issue with the fan or sensors. The loud fan noise typically indicates the system is working harder to cool down, which can happen during gaming or heavy use. Since the temperature and fan speed don’t register through the shortcut, it could be a sensor or software issue, but seeing it in the gaming hub is a good sign that the data is being tracked elsewhere. I recommend checking for any pending driver updates, particularly for the thermal management software, and ensuring the laptop is clean and free from dust buildup around the vents. If the problem persists, it may be worth contacting HP support for further troubleshooting.
