Hi,

Anyone happens to have an usable firmware update for Kioxia kxg60 series?

Brought the pc directly from a HP shop about a years ago, came equipped with a kioxia kxg60znv1t02, which was a bit weird considering the HP support never have any firmware update for it.

Eversince  I updated to Windows 11, I've experiencing some weird lags. So I checked, it still runs on the Microsoft 2006 harddisk drive, not sure if it is the issue though.

Only Dell has a firmware update for it, but I cannot run it on my pc. I tried to extract the update and run it, but failed, 'device not found' for some reason

Anyone has a solution for this? I am absolute stumped.

Thanks.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

The whole reason I am looking for this particular update is because all my other drives are up-to-date, and the lag only happens when I access this ssd, the other one (wdblack) is running alright (mystically considering I ripped it off from my old desktop) . Now I suspect it might be a hardware issue.

Anyway, I will re-run some diagnostics. If I still cannot find the reason behind the lag, I will have a friend to give it a full check up, in case there is a hardware problem.

Again, thanks for the reply.

Hi,

Thank you for the follow up.

A friend of mine had the computer examined fully, it turns out that it wasn't the ssd's probelm. A moisture eat through, eroding some componnents, which also cause temperature spikes. Took my friend half hour with his work station, now it boots and runs normally.

Again, thank you for investing time and energy in this.
