I forgot my Administrative power on password and since this is a laptop i would like to not take out my CMOS battery. Is there a manufacturer's password somewhere? please help, thanks!

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂
As I understand there is a message - "Power-on password" on your screen and you need assistance with the same,
You would have to contact HP phone support for a hardware service as the motherboard may require a tattoo/Bios Flash.
Any other way of unlocking the BIOS is not authorized by HP.
