HP Pavilion Gaming 15-dk2000 Laptop PC (2P1Z6AV)

Im facing these same errors again and again for almost last 3 years. I have waited for too long for stable drivers.
This issue is clearly not motherboard or hardware side fault. This is due to GPU driver.
Please help me to fix this issue.

I reinstalled GPU driver cleanly using ddu multiple times , reinstalled windows multiple times. All drivers are up to date. Firmware biose are upto date. I tried disabling intel integrated gpu in device manager, reinstally and trying different versions.
This error shows up while running games and crashes . This is not game sided issue also. I tried the gpu driver from hp page for my laptop , the gpu didnt crash but instead it freezes or throws gpu incompatible and tells me to update the driver to latest version. The drivers they provided in the drivers page is stable but still theres no use since games needs newer versions of gpu driver. The moment i update to any new versions gpu driver it starts to crash. The temperatures are not high (around 71 deg c) its comparatively very low compared to other laptops gpu temperatures. Its also not due to power or charger issue checked that too. So its solely driver issue. I test on other laptops of this same model pav gaming 15 dk2012, all the laptops shows the same errors and crashes.
So we users of HP Pav Gaming Laptop 15-dk2012TX request hp to provide stable nvidia gpu drivers for rtx 3050.

I also request users of this same laptop to reply with the any stable nvidia driver version so that i can download and use. I tested and tried every possible fixes and at the end i just end giving up . This is a frustrating driver issue.

Try these two things and report back with results:

1. From nvidia app global settings, set power management mode to "Prefer maximum performance)

2. Open device manager an disable these two device:

  • NVIDIA Virtual Audio Device (Wave Extensible) (WDM)
  • NVIDIA High Definition Audio

If issue remains, then let me know Is your laptop under warrenty?

Still the same. I tried it a long time ago. Yet i checked again . its still not fixed. Its not under warranty. Also this issue is not only in my laptop, its in all laptop of the same model. Thank you for reply. please hp provide stable drivers.

Do this then:

1. Open Control Panel > Power Options > Change plan settings > Change advanced power settings. Then, expand PCI Express > Link State Power Management, and change both On battery and Plugged in to Off. Now, restart your laptop.

2. Check and follow the accepted solution of below post:

If the issue persists, pause Windows Update, boot into Safe Mode, and use DDU to uninstall both the iGPU and dGPU drivers one by one. Then download and install both the iGPU and dGPU drivers directly from the HP driver page for your laptop or latest well stable driver by Nvidia as per your game requirement. This should be more stable. Install the iGPU driver first, then restart. After that, install the dGPU driver.

Keep Windows Update paused and test your games for 1–2 days and then report back with results.

Done alerady. Reinstalled both drivers using ddu. I also tried the sequence u said to install the gpu drivers. Also tried not installing new intel driver and installed only new nvidia gpu driver, still persists. Also that post you shared has no similarity to my case, no livekernel crashes. only nvlddmkm crashes. I hope only solution to this problem is to hp to provide new stable version.
I tried almost every possible fixes from user side + no hardware, power issues, and its clearly an driver issue.
Also you replied to use the old drivers from hp page, i request you to refer the post again and understand issue.
Thank you for reply. I hope the fix will be provided asap. I request any hp employee to report and resolve 😞

if any users , you know the fixes pls reply with it.

NVIDIA drivers 566.36 and 577 were relatively stable. You can give them a try. 577 is 1 year old but I guess you games may accept it

Tried that too. No luck 😞

I was about to give up, but then I had another idea: we could try a newer 2024 NVIDIA driver that HP released for another similar model. Please give it a try, I hope it resolves the issue. You can download it from the link below:

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp154501-155000/sp154728.exe

Before installing the driver, pause Windows Update and use DDU in Safe Mode to remove the current NVIDIA driver. Then install the downloaded driver and test it.

Keep Windows Update paused for one or two days to make sure it does not automatically replace the driver. Later we will resume and check if it replace or not.
