I have only had my HP Omen for a few weeks, and the first time I tried to switch to discrete graphics it gave me an error 43 code for the nvidia 2060rtx card. After doinn all updates for my computer, it finally worked but only for about 15 minutes before it crashed and gave me the same error 43 message again. Any help would be appreciated

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are getting graphics driver error 43 on the computer.

 

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

 

  • What is the product number of your computer?
  • When are you getting this error code? (Like when you play games or open an application/software)

 

Meanwhile, I recommend you update the BIOS, chipset, and graphics driver from the below link and check whether the issue is resolved.

Model no. : AX20ID2W  , HP Omen 15

I see the error code when I view the graphics card status in the device manager, it shows a yellow triangle next to the Nvidia card. When I switch to discrete graphics to play games, the screen is distorted b/c the graphics card isn’t being used/recognized by the computer. I have already updated everything possible, I spent hours on the phone with HP yesterday and walked through all possible solutions, to no avail. I even reinstalled windows and nothing helped.
