Microsoft Windows 11

Hello guys, I bought an HP VICTUS 15-fb1002AX laptop 2 months ago now suddenly there are two grey circles in my screen only visible to the dark background. As the laptop is new and my first one it's troubling by seeing it gone bad within two month I hope someone will answer my query as fast as possible. Thank You.

Hi @Dx161,

Welcome to HP Support Community!

We noticed that this thread hasn't had any updates in a while since your original post; while this is rare, we didn't want this post to remain unanswered, so, here's the solution to your query. We hope it helps you and everyone viewing this post 😊

  1. Check for Physical Damage:

    • Inspect the screen carefully for any signs of physical damage or pressure marks. Ensure no external objects or pressure have been applied to the screen.
  2. Display Settings:

    • Navigate to your display settings and adjust the brightness and contrast to see if the circles become less visible.
  3. Test with External Monitor:

    • Connect your laptop to an external monitor. If the issue doesn’t appear on the external display, it may indicate that the problem is limited to the laptop's screen itself.
  4. Pixel Test:

    • Conduct a pixel test using online tools or software applications to check for stuck or dead pixels that might explain the grey circles.
  5. Update Graphics Driver:

    • Ensure your graphics drivers are up to date. You can do this through Windows Update or using the HP Support Assistant.
  6. Perform a Hard Reset:

    • Shut down your laptop completely, disconnect power cords, and remove the battery (if removable). Hold the power button for about 10-15 seconds. Reconnect everything, restart, and see if the issue persists.
