Hi,

How do I rollback a bios firmware ? I tried all the options available

The combination of keys win+b+power doesn`t work, I made a flash usb bios with the version I want to flash and the system won`t let me. I get this error "the system bios rollback failed". If the desired bios is in the flash drive bootable, why is it so hard to just install it ?

Anyone has any ideea how to get arround this error and how to properly install the bios I ran before this stupid update that broke my laptop ?

Is anyone from HP ever on these forums ?

Hello,

The laptop is HP OMEN 17  - cb0006na

The current version of BIOS is F.32 Rev A, I tried the mentioned solution and it reverts back to BIOS F.30 rev A

I want to be able to go back one version behind this as my laptop was working perfectly fine before I did the last update of BIOS

The version I want to flash and the system won`t let me is BIOS version F.25 Rev A

With the current version of BIOS , my laptop just freezes, puts itself to sleep, fans going crazy, CPU running at 90 degrees hot and SSD drive running at 90-95 degrees hot, Not to mention that the clock speed of the CPU does not go further than 3.9Ghz.

And the i7-9750h has a boost clock of maximum 4.5Ghz. Why did I pay for a laptop with these specs since I cannot use them due to a bugged BIOS that HP rolled out ? It basically destroyed the capacity of my processor to stay at 4.1/4.2 Ghz as clock speed. Tried undervolting, won`t let me, tried changing the turbo power limit, won`t go pass 45w.

I need to rollback to previous version of BIOS to get my laptop back in the state that it was, why is it so hard to flash a previous BIOS ?

Did you try Recovering the BIOS using the USB Drive?

it looks like your f32 bios for omen and f08 bios for pavillion gaming has made many problems. dont say this is hardware issue. your bios update caused this HP

Ofcourse I tried, It doesn`t work. The single method that works is the windows + B + power combination and that method reverts back to BIOS F30 rev A that was released in June 2020.

I want to go back to the F25 or F24 bios version that were released in 2019, prior to F30 and F32..

Is that possible ? or HP locked it because they have no ideea how a processor and graphics card work ?

I ask again , why is it so hard to just flash the bios version I want for my computer?

I payed for it , didn`t I ?

If the BIOS HP released is messed up and doesn`t work and its bugged, why not give me the option to revert back to a BIOS that actually worked for me ?

Are you for real ? This are the solutions I get for my own money ?

I talked to your "specialist" on the chat, when he had a connection, most of the times he didn`t and he suggested that I set the laptop on COMFORT mode and update my drivers.

Either you people have no clue what your job is as support or you should quit while you`re ahead.

I want to DOWNGRADE AND FLASH ANOTHER VERSION OF BIOS ! Because the one you relesed is burning my laptop ALIVE. My CPU sits at 95-100 degrees on load and my SSD has 110 degrees celsius. Do you understand that this computer will burn itself out by the time your "specialists" consider updating the broken bios they released?

Why is it so hard to give simple directions or suggestions that actually make sense?

Thank you for locking me out of my computer and I cannot even flash another version of BIOS, I have to use the broken one you released.

I will boycott this joke of a company everywhere and neveer in my entire life will I buy another product from you.
