Dearest HP:

I have performed every troubleshooting step suggested in this string.

Please take a moment to look at every response to what it seems to be an auto-reply, and you will realize that what it's being suggested DOES NOT WORK. Is there an escalation path that WE consumers can take to get this very important issue resolved?

Hi, I have had the same problem with hp omen 16 ryzen 7 rx6600M and my laptop has been sent to hp support right now, they received it on Wednesday the 6th and I still have no response. I will update as soon as I have news. I hope they solve the problem for all of us. I don't work for hp r&d, I can't find the problem myself, when it's obvious. All these measures that they ask you will not solve anything. I've already been through it.

Hello, today they have updated the status of the ticket and they have told me that they are going to change the motherboard. 😉

There's a message from a guy who has this problem and they replaced the motherboard https://community.amd.com/t5/graphics/blender-and-games-crashes-rx6600m-squares-artifacts/m-p/517245... . And he said after the replacement the issue is still there.

If the same thing happens again, even changing the motherboard, I will return it to hp support or go directly to the store where I bought it and get a refund, filing a complaint if necessary. It is all I can do.

They have informed me that there is no stock of parts, and until the 22nd they do not receive the motherboard, they have compensated me with a €20 voucher. I will update the status when I receive the repaired laptop. 😉

Thanks for the info! I really want to know the result of their repair, I will look forward to April 22.

I am facing the exact same issue from last couple of months. Tried several different drivers. BIOS update etc. No luck so far. Has anyone been able to fix that? I really love the laptop and really want to keep it!

There's no solution to this problem atm, So, this could be either of these options:

  • Defective GPU
  • Defective motherboard
  • Bad motherboard design
  • Bad AMD drivers
  • Bad BIOS from HP

Waiting for some response from ngmr, in order to know what they've replaced and how this affected the laptop (to close these options in red). The HP support is useless they don't have contacts with the manufacturer and they even don't know when there will be an update to BIOS (I asked them twice by phone). I assume that HP test their product, and they cannot have bad mb design. Also, I see no drivers updates.  And I really like the laptop, but that doesn't make a lot of sense, since I cannot use it.
