OMEN 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-b0000 (2W6B3AV)

My OMEN 16 (16-b0158TX, 51N01PAR#ABG, AMI BIOS F.49) failed to turn on yesterday morning. When I press and hold power button, power LED blinks in different combinations:

1. 1 short - 1 long - 1 short

2. 2 short - 1 long - 1 short

3. 2 long

What kind of diagnostic codes it can be?

Laptop doesn't start at all. When power supply is connected, supply LED is constantly white. But when I press and hold power button, power LED makes one short blink and then supply LED begins to blink while power button is pressed.

Any documentation?

Thank to HP support and their will to replace motherboard, but after a couple of weeks on a shelf the laptop was able to boot.

Hi @Ibrin,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

"I understand you're experiencing multiple blink patterns on your PC, with the last one being 3 short and 2 long blinks, which indicates a memory issue. To troubleshoot, I recommend reseating the RAM sticks or testing with a different compatible module if available.

To assist you further, please provide your PC's serial number so I can check the model details and offer more specific guidance. Additionally, if possible, try running a memory test and let me know the results. This will help us diagnose the issue more accurately."

Memory test

1) Shutdown the computer.

2) Turn the computer back on again and repeatedly tap on the ESC until a Startup menu appears.

3) Press F2 once.

4) Go to Component test.

5) From the list, run the Memory (extensive) test

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

On page 56 you can see a disassembly guide which is not helping to troubleshoot the motherboard startup process and identify POST messages from power LED blinks. Do you have an access to a little bit more that general guides from public website?
