The HP OMEN Gamin Hub application will start and seems to refresh stats on the home screen (CPU, GPU, RAM) .  It will change focus in Windows, but is unresponsive to mouse or keyboard commands.  Other Apps seem to be working normally.

Thoughts on fixing this?

Hi @VictusOne,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To troubleshoot the unresponsiveness of the HP OMEN Gaming Hub application, you can try the following steps.

Restart the Application:

  • Close the HP OMEN Gaming Hub completely (use Task Manager if necessary).
  • Restart the app to see if the issue resolves itself.

Run as Administrator:

  • Right-click the HP OMEN Gaming Hub shortcut.
  • Select Run as Administrator and check if it becomes responsive.

Check for Updates:

  • Open the HP OMEN Gaming Hub and check if there are any updates available for the software.
  • Make sure your system and drivers, particularly GPU drivers, are up-to-date.

Update Windows:

  • Ensure your Windows operating system is fully updated. Sometimes, issues arise due to missing system updates.

Reinstall the Application:

  • Uninstall HP OMEN Gaming Hub from the Control Panel > Programs and Features.
  • Reinstall it from the official HP website or Microsoft Store.

Check Task Manager:

  • Open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) and check if there are any background processes consuming too many resources.
  • Look for any issues or crashes related to HP OMEN Gaming Hub.

Disable Conflicting Software:

  • Disable or uninstall any software that might conflict with HP OMEN Gaming Hub, such as third-party antivirus or system optimizers.

Check for GPU Conflicts:

  • Ensure that there aren’t any conflicts with your GPU drivers. Sometimes, outdated drivers or conflicting software can cause issues.

Test in Safe Mode:

  • Boot your system into Safe Mode and try launching HP OMEN Gaming Hub. This can help determine if third-party apps are causing the issue.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

When run as Administrator it gets stuck on initial pop-up splash screen continuously cycling through quips.

Realized the main window was unresponsive to mouse clicks because there was a pop-up dialog box asking if I wanted to upgrade to a Beta version which had to be closed before focus would be returned to the main window. Geeeezus!
