Hello,
Recently, every time I boot up my gaming laptop I get an HDD Hard Drive Error Message. The laptop fails the hard drive test when I press F2. Here is the information regarding the failure: ]
Failure ID: 9CTTG1-BG4CL4-MFPX1A-60AM03
Component Tested: Hard Drive Check
Please let me know what the best course of action is. If I have to buy a replacement hard drive, please link the one that would work best in this case.
Thanks!

Hi:
If you can still get into Windows, I recommend backing up your files onto a portable hard drive.
I would need to know the product number of your notebook.
If you can get into Windows, to find the product number for your PC, click on the search icon on your Windows taskbar.
Type: System Information
The System information app should show up.
Run the app and the product number of your PC will be found on the System SKU line about 1/4 of the way down on the report.

Hi:
Below is the link to the parts list for your notebook.
HP could have installed one of several different drives with different storage capacities as you can see.
Since the specs indicate that your notebook's model series supports PCIe Gen 4 x 4 NVMe SSD's, I recommend that you replace the existing drive with this model which has a 5 year warranty.

Below is the link to the service manual, where you can find the hard drive removal and replacement procedure:
After you replace the drive, you can use the HP cloud recovery tool to make a bootable USB recovery drive that will reinstall Windows, the drivers and the software that originally came with your notebook.
Here is an info link for how to use the utility. You will need a 32 GB USB flash drive for this.

You can download the software from the Microsoft Store:

If your PC is no longer operational you can use another Windows PC to create the recovery media with but you will need to enter your notebook's product number in the tool's search window in order to proceed.
You enter the full product number of 509V6AV#ABA
If Windows is still currently accessible you can make the recovery media now.
