Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My laptop has been working good for over a year, but iver the past month it has experienced this sudden episodes of lag accompanied by drops in cpu clock speeds but when not plugged in, these problems stabilize at the cost of performance. I have tried many common fixes, edits to power plans, reinstalling windows, updates to BIOS, but now I suspect an ac adapter issue? If so where can even get a replacement in the Philippines? This has been driving me up the wall, please help.

Hi @Kodomine1,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd like to help!

The reason the frames drop when unplugged is that the laptop was designed to preserve as much power as possible. Please try to select your power options and enable Max performance even when not plugged in. using the following steps

   (a) Right click battery icon,

   (b) Select Power options,

   (c) Select the current/active plan and select Change Advanced power settings,

   (d) Try options as shown

               max perf.png

   (e) Click Apply/Ok

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
