OMEN Laptop - 15-ek0004nt
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello HP community,
I bought an HP OMEN 15 laptop 2 years ago but the ethernet port clip was constantly falling off. It broke 3-4 days ago. I'm a bit of an obsessive person and I make sure to use my computer in its cleanest condition. However, despite all this interest, it was broken. Computer prices have increased a lot in my country due to inflation and exchange rates. I talked to HP customer service and they said that my computer's 1st level repair fee starts from 1200TL (TURKISH LIRA). But I find this fee too much.. I am a university student and I work online. I want to get this tiny part instead of sending my computer to be repaired, but I can't find the part where I am. I talked to HP customer representatives and they keep saying that it needs to be sent to the repair center and they can't send the part. It is obvious that the cost of the part is very cheap, but the price is very high. If I send the laptop, I will not have it for 1-2 weeks and I will not have another computer for work. I can't do it separately for the price they say. 1 month left of my warranty. I am also considering extending my warranty period. I have researched this issue in many places on the internet and I have seen many HP users having the same problem. This is a general issue, as I understand it shouldn't be covered under warranty? The user and problem I am talking about is in the link below.

Hello @HyperSethRa

Save yourself the effort, the waste of money and the nerves.

Buy a cheap <USB-to-Ethernet> adapter and start working ...
