OMEN by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-xd0000 (758R2AV)

Hi everyone,

I'm posting this with a heavy heart. I recently bought an HP Omen 16 after saving up for over 8 months. It was a big investment for me, and I was really excited to get my hands on a high-performance machine.

However, I'm facing an issue that’s been bothering me from the start.

Issue Description:

Whenever I move or press the back panel (bottom side) of the laptop, I hear a dragging or creaking noise — like something is brushing or scraping inside. It's subtle but very noticeable during handling, and it makes the laptop feel fragile or poorly assembled.

My Concern:

I live in Bengaluru, India, and I’m worried that:

  • HP support might just say it’s “normal” and do nothing.

  • I may not get a replacement even though this feels like a hardware defect or build-quality issue.

  • It could become worse over time or lead to damage inside.
