Hi Everyone,
I recently bought a HP Omen Laptop DH0144tx and a HP Omen x 35 inch display. I want to run the monitor off of the Hp Omen Laptop permanently via the thunderbolt 3 port and have two questions:
1) If i connect the monitor to the thunderbolt 3 port will it run off the RTX2060 Graphics card or the intel graphics card? Also if i connect it via the thunderbolt 3 port will i be able to achieve 100hz at 3440 x 1440? Or do i need to connect it directly to the mini display port?
2) If i buy a G2 dock for the Omen Laptop - does this change the result of above at all? I.e. can i connect the monitor directly to the G2 Dock and have everything pass through that and still achieve the same fps and resolution?
Thanks in advance!

@salemf
Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
Thunderbolt 3 supports the DisplayPort protocol too, Thunderbolt 3 allows for connection speeds up to 40Gbps, double the speed of the previous generation, USB 3.1 10Gbps, and DisplayPort 1.2.
