I'm having an issue where my laptop is refusing to turn on at all. When I plug it in, the indicator LED doesn't turn on, and holding the power button for any length of time does nothing, regardless of if the laptop is plugged in or not. I'd like to resolve this issue and get back to work with the laptop as soon as I possibly can.

 

For further context, I've had issues in the past where sleep mode doesn't work properly and it'll still have full battery drain, and it's always slow for the first couple days after that, even though task manager doesn't show anything.

 

The mouse touchpad is also completely defunct and useless, but I've been working around that with a USB mouse and can live with that issue. 

 

But I feel I should warn that any solutions that involve opening the laptop will be basically impossible, since I don't have access to any tools, nor do I have the money to buy them or go to a repair shop. Any practical solutions would have to be non-invasive DIY solutions. 

 

If it matters, I purchased the laptop in question at least 3 years ago, and it was the display model in the store.
