Product: HP Pavilion Gaming - 15-ec1023ax

I have HP Pavilion Gaming - 15-ec1023ax which I  bought almost 2.5 yrs ago and today while working its battery suddenly died. I have tried to let the PC cool down and then recharge it again but that's not working.. I use this laptop rarely so do not know how is it possible for battery to die so early.. I have tried to re-install the drivers that is also not helpful.

Sounds like you have to replace the battery. I can not find the official specs of your machine. It uses

 

                 Battery (3 cell, 52 Whr) part # L48495-005 (for machine with AMD CPU)

          or   6 cell, 69 Wh (includes thermal pad) part # L48497-006   (for Intel)
                 3 cell, 52 Wh (includes battery rubber) part # L48495-006       (for Intel)
