Hi,

I want to know that is there additional ssd slot available for HP Omen DC0082tx. One ssd came pre-installed from factory.

As I want to increase the storage, so can you please tell if there is another ssd slot available.

Best Regards,

Shiva

Hi:

Your notebook only has one M.2 slot for a SSD.

If you need more storage, you will need to remove the 128 GB NVMe SSD, and install one having a larger storage capacity.

Thanks for information.

I have one more doubt. If I purchase external SSD, then is it possible to install softwares on that external SSD? Will the installed softwares will work each time I plug in external SSD to my laptop?

You're very welcome.

I do not believe that would be possible.

Actually I have various softwares installed on my current SSD installed in my laptop. It would be bit difficult for me to again install the softwares again. If you have any suggestion on this please let me know.

Thanks a lot for your support.

You're very welcome.

If you install a larger capacity SSD, you could use cloning software to transfer the existing 128 GB drive's configuration to the larger NVMe SSD, but you would also need to purchase a device to temporarily connect the NVMe SSD to a USB3 port so you could perform the clone.

Pick one that has good reviews.
