HP Victus Keyboard Flashes and then Laptop Dies

Hello-

I have a HP Victus Gaming Laptop that fails to boot.  The keyboard will flash, fans start, and then it immediately dies.  

Insight or help would be appreciated.

Troubleshooting Steps

1. Perform a Hard Reset

• Disconnect the AC adapter and remove any external devices.
• Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
• Reconnect the AC adapter (leave battery connected if internal).
• Try powering on again.

2. Check for Blink Codes

• If the Caps Lock or power LED blinks in a pattern, note it.
• HP blink codes indicate specific hardware failures (e.g., memory, CPU, BIOS).

3. Run UEFI Diagnostics

• If the laptop stays on long enough, press Esc repeatedly at startup → F2 for diagnostics.

• This forces a BIOS recovery if the firmware is corrupted.

5. Check AC Adapter and Battery
