I am just trying to analyse my computer's warranty status with the link here: https://support.hp.com/us-en/check-warranty but it continually redirects me to this site: https://support.hp.com/us-en/error/500 it's imperative that this is completed soon so that I can know how to go about fixing a separate unrelated issue with the 2nd RAM socket not being fried.

Try using a different browser, perhaps Firefox or Microsoft Edge.
Try clearing cookies / cache.
If you were not doing so,
Try opening your HP Product Home and then open category Warranty & Repair
What else?
If the device warranty is expired, you cannot submit an in-Warranty hardware repair request to HP Support.
Try submitting an online request for in-Warranty hardware repair.
