Hello,
It is since a year that i own a HP Omen 15 gaming laptop, and since then i have CPU temperature issues with it. At first I didnt think much of it, the processor is a i7-8750h which can become very hot during gaming. Though i dont think that consistent temperatures above 90 degrees celcius while playing my favourite game (World of tanks) on medium settings (while the recommended settings are 'Ultra') is particulary 'healthy' for my laptop...… The GPU is a GTX1070 and its temperatures are Always in the 70-80 degrees while gaming on medium settings. The CPU temperature starts to annoy me, the fans make a lot fo noise to keep it cool and consistent temperatures of 90 degrees Celsius cannot (i think..) be 'healthy' for my laptop. I dont even have background programs running and my room temperature is 17-18 degrees Celsius. In the HP Omen command center i have the performance settings on 'standard'. I also have enough RAM (16GB). So i dont know what is causing such temperatures on my CPU.
But what caused me to post on this support forum is this:
[edit]
It made me quite concerned about my laptop and im worried that i am ruining my laptop with such temperatures. But also, ive spent 1900 euro on this laptop and im worried that is money thrown away on a laptop that cannot play my favourite game on medium settings whithout melting the laptop itself.
I dont know what to do now.....
Greetings,
Max

90 degrees is pretty normal with the 8 gen CPU's inside laptops. Your laptop hardware can handle long periods without worrying about the health of your pc as long as it isn't hitting anywhere close to 100 degrees. But you said that you are using the default profile so I would recommend to use the comfort profile instead. (the CPU will decrease noticable in temperature when you use this).

Hi!
Productname: OMEN by HP Laptop 15-dc0xxx
Productnumber : 4AZ47EA#ABH
Serialnumber : **Bleep**
Hope this information gets us further!
From what i've read so far is that no 'new' laptop should have such high CPU temperatures while gaming on medium settings and that is is likely to be a production fault.
I update my PC very often but it still has the issues that i described in my first post.
Greetings,
Max

@Asmita6658
I have it fully updated, from BIOS to the littlest of things like sound drivers. But the issue still persists and over long time period (as i described in my first post, it overheated everysince I bought it till this very day).
It also seems that other models from the HP Omen range have the same issue with overheating.
Also a new issue has appeared: now my right fan started to make a rattling noise (truly irritating that i can tell you besides the overheating issues). What to do?
Might it be better to contact HP in the Netherlands? So that they can help me out?
