Unfortunately, you have discovered why the i5-8300h versions of the various Omen laptops is the better option, simply because it runs over 10 degrees cooler whilst performing exactly the same gaming tasks. I swapped my i7 Omen for an i5 model purely because of this. You won't hit the thermal throttle on the i5. However, the i7-8750h Omen laptops throttle before the cooling cuts in, which should then take it down to around 93 degrees, It's a strange one, but you will notice that within a minute or two of gaming it will hit 100 degrees, the fans will suddenly kick in and it will lower to around 93 before staying there. In my opinion the i7-8750h isn't a good gaming laptop CPU because it simply runs too hot.

A few suggestions.

Install Throttlestop and undervolt by 125mv on both the CPU core and cache. This will drop it by a further 6-8 degrees. You could also reduce the wattage on the CPU in the BIOS. The default is 45w, I have my i5 at 30w with very little reduction in performance.

You can also run the new comfort mode in Omen Command Centre if you're running the latest bios. Despite it looking like something which would slow the laptop, it ramps the fans up and reduces the heat considerably but with no slow down of the core frequency that I have noticed.

Play a game for 20 minutes and you will likely see the temperature come down as the fans will kick in after a few minutes., it won't happen immediately.

Watch this video. He explains the problem you have with the i7 and how to improve it.

100 degree celcius under 2-3 minutes of gaming is rediculous. I wonder if its even got much thermal paste making contact?

Have you contacted HP Support and asked them? There are cases where they have taken them back, repasted and improved the temps. 100 is not acceptable, regardless if its an i7 or not.

If you have undervolted by 180mv and are still thermal throttling on the CPU (Intel's throttle spec is 100 degrees, although I'm unsure if HP have lowered that with the BIOS), then you have a defective unit. As said above, even on an 8th gen i7, that isn't acceptable and long term will result in a reduction of lifespan.

I called hp support, and did a thermal repaste, they used this thermal paste,i will tell further results soon146617392652296922.jpg

After thermal paste ,under normal setting it is still 100 degree celcuis,

using XTU i changed the setting to following screenshot,
The temperature  is around 82 and goes upto 92, but its keyboard is getting more heated,

mostly its the heat is in the center.

i have undervolted to -170mv plus tdp to 25 and turbo boost short power max to 40watt.

the clocks moves from 3814 to 1500 again and again .The clock only switches between 3.814 and 1.504 ghz.

Is the xtu setting correct ??

My laptop has too much heat on center keyboard. It went under two thermal shutdown under stress test. The fan dont kick in.
